Dr. Ryan Johnson

Dr. Johnson graduated from Brigham Young University with honors in 1995, receiving a B.S. Degree in Zoology.  He continued his studies at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, graduating with distinction in 2000 with his Doctor of Optometry degree.  He completed his optometry preceptorships at the University affiliated Clinics in the Portland, Oregon area, at the Eye Foundation of Utah in Murray, Utah, and at the Indian Health Clinic in Fort Hall, Idaho.  While a student at Pacific University, he was the recipient of the Seymour Galina Grant, given to one optometry student each year nationally.  He established a practice in a corporate setting in Chubbuck, Idaho in 2000, then joined Dr. Fornarotto and the Pocatello Eye Care team in 2005.

Dr. Johnson specializes in general family eye care including cataract co-management, challenging contact lens fittings, binocular vision, and ocular disease management.  He enjoys working at Pocatello Eye Care, the only practice in Pocatello with an in-house ophthalmologist, optometrist, and optical He is a member of the American Optometry Association and the Idaho Optometry Association.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheri, and their four growing boys, especially in the great outdoors.  He is originally from St. Anthony, Idaho.
